سَلبتَ الرُّوح مِنْ بَدني

ورُعتَ القلبَ بالحَزَنِ

ورُعتَ القلبَ بالحَزَنِ

You stole the soul from my body,

You took the soul from my body

and you terrified the heart with sorrow.

And nurtured the heart with sorrow

فلي بَدَنٌ بلا رُوحٍ

فلي بَدَنٌ بلا رُوحٍ

ولي رُوحٌ بلا بَدَنِ

ولي رُوحٌ بلا بَدَنِ

So I have a body without a soul,

So I have a body without a soul

and I have a soul without a body.

And a soul without a body

قَرنتَ معَ الرَّدى نَفْسي

قَرنتَ معَ الرَّدى نَفْسي

فَنفْسي وهْوَ في قَرَنِ

You bound my soul to death,

You paired my soul with misery

so my soul and it share one tether.

So my soul and it are paired

فليتَ السِّحرَ مِنْ عيني

كَ لم أَرَهُ ولم يَرني

كَ لم أَرَهُ ولم يَرني

If only the magic from the eyes
