ياO وَيلتاalas for me مِنْat مَوْقفٍa place of standing ماnothing بهِin it
يا وَيلتا مِنْ مَوْقفٍ ما بهِ
أَخْوفُmore fearsome مِنْthan أَنْthat يعدِلَhe should act justly الحاكمُthe Judge
أَخْوفُ مِنْ أَنْ يعدِلَ الحاكمُ
Alas for me at a place where nothing
Oh woe is me, what a position I am in
Is more fearsome than the Judge ruling justly.
I fear the judge will not be lenient
أبارزُI openly defy اللّهَGod بعِصيانِهِby disobeying Him
أبارزُ اللّهَ بعِصيانِهِ
وليسَand there is not ليfor me منfrom دُونِهِbesides Him راحِمُone who shows mercy
وليسَ لي من دُونِهِ راحِمُ
I openly defy God by disobeying Him,
I disobey God openly
And I have no one besides Him to show me mercy.
And I have no one but Him to show mercy
ياO ربِّmy Lord غُفرانَكYour forgiveness عنfor مُذنبٍa sinner
يا ربِّ غُفرانَك عن مُذنبٍ
أسرفَhe transgressed excessively إلاexcept أَنَّهُthat he نادِمُremorseful
أسرفَ إلا أَنَّهُ نادِمُ
O my Lord, grant Your forgiveness to a sinner
Oh Lord, forgive a sinner
Who has transgressed beyond measure, yet is remorseful.
Who exceeded the limits, yet now repents
