And your world, which has beguiled you with
And your world that deceived you
Its finery, will come to an end.
Its ornaments will end up scattered

فَماfor … not أَصغىheeded إِلَيهاto it ذوone possessing نَفاذِpenetrating insight
Strive to distance yourself from its deadly perils,
Strive to save yourself from its pitfalls
For no discerning person has heeded it.
Yet no one with insight lent an ear

Indeed, its sweetness has been mixed with poison,
Indeed its sweetness was mixed with poison
For no refuge compares to being wary of it.
No refuge avails against it
عَجِبتُI have marveled لِمُعجَبٍat one captivated بِنَعيمِby the bliss of دُنياworldly life

I have marveled at one captivated by worldly bliss,
I wonder at one enchanted by the bliss of the world
And one duped by delightful days,
And fooled by pleasurable days

And one preferring to dwell in a barren land
And preferring to stay in barren lands
Over a fertile land with light rain.
Over a fertile place with vegetation
