نادٍ عليه الندى والخَيْرُ مُنْبَسطٌ

نادٍ عليه الندى والخَيْرُ مُنْبَسطٌ

والخَلْقُ تَقْصُدُهُ حافٍ وَمُنْتَعِلُ

والخَلْقُ تَقْصُدُهُ حافٍ وَمُنْتَعِلُ

A gathering-place where generosity and goodness spread;

He calls to whom the dew and goodness spread

people seek it out, barefoot and shod.

And people flock to him barefoot and riding

أعْلا سَمَاه عليّ ذو العُلا فغَدا

أعْلا سَمَاه عليّ ذو العُلا فغَدا

بعزِّهِ وسَنَاه يُضْرَبُ المَثَلُ

بعزِّهِ وسَنَاه يُضْرَبُ المَثَلُ

Ali, lord of eminence, raised its roof, and it became

The Most High exalted his name

a byword for its glory and radiance.

So his might and stature became proverbial

سليلُ مسعودَ مسعودٌ وقد ظَهَرتْ

سليلُ مسعودَ مسعودٌ وقد ظَهَرتْ

فيه الرِياسةُ بالأنوار تشتعل

فيه الرِياسةُ بالأنوار تشتعل

Blessed is the scion of Mas‘ud, and there has appeared

Scion of Sa’d, auspicious, and his leadership

in him leadership, blazing with lights.

Now flames with splendor, luminous
