لَقَدْindeed لَذَّdelighted ليme هذاthis الكتابُbook وشرحُهُand its commentary
لَقَدْ لَذَّ لي هذا الكتابُ وشرحُهُ
أنيقٌelegant ومعناهand its meaning أراقَpleased لمسمعيto my hearing
أنيقٌ ومعناه أراقَ لمسمعي
This book has truly delighted me, and its commentary
This book and its commentary have delighted me
is elegant, and its meaning has pleased my ears.
Elegant, and its meaning gentle to my hearing
يفوقُsurpasses كلامَthe words of الخَلْقِcreated beings طُرَاًall كلامُهits words
يفوقُ كلامَ الخَلْقِ طُرَاً كلامُه
فطوبىso, blessedness لمنfor whoever يتلوهrecites it ثمthen لمنfor whoever يعيunderstands
فطوبى لمن يتلوه ثم لمن يعي
Its words surpass the words of all creation.
Its words surpass all people's speech in eloquence
So blessed is whoever recites it, and then whoever understands.
Bliss to those who recite it, and those who comprehend
عنfrom المصطفىthe Chosen One يَرْويit transmits حديثاًa reported saying مُصَحّحاًauthenticated
عن المصطفى يَرْوي حديثاً مُصَحّحاً
فياso, oh ليتَهif only it were طولَfor the duration of الزمانِtime بِمَضْجَعِيat my bedside
فيا ليتَه طولَ الزمانِ بِمَضْجَعِي
It transmits an authenticated saying from the Chosen One.
It narrates an authentic hadith from Al-Mustafa
Oh, if only it were at my bedside for all time!
Would that it remain by my side for all time
