أبا سيدي ما زلتَ بالدهرِ باقياً

وما لكَ في العَلْياءِ ثانٍ وثالث

Oh my master, you are still eternal in this life

You have no equal or peer in the exalted realm

سعيد بن سلطان ملا الأرضَ عدلُه

ومُنْصُلُه في أكْبُدِ الخَصْمِ عابثُ

Sa'eed bin Sultan, his justice has filled the earth

His spear pierces the liver of his opponent in battle

ومن طبعه المعروفُ والبِشرُ والسَخا

وها هو للتقوى وللأجرِ شابث

His nature is benevolence, good tidings, and generosity

And behold, he is diligent in piety and in seeking reward

وهمتُه كسبُ الثَنَا في زمانِه

وفي عهدِه وافٍ وما هو ناكث

His ambition is to earn praise in his time

In his era he is loyal and not treacherous

وأقْسِمُ لا في العصرِ شخصٌ كمثله

وقولي صحيح قط ما أنا حانِثُ

And I swear, in this age there is no one like him

My words are true, I am no oath-breaker
