غرائب الكون تترى لا انتهاء لها

ومالها قط إن فكرتَ إحصاءُ

ومالها قط إن فكرتَ إحصاءُ

The wonders of the universe come in succession; they have no end.

The strangenesses of the universe are endless,

Nor, if you reflect, can they ever be counted.

Never could they be fully comprehended.

فقل لمن يدّعي إدراك جملتها

فقل لمن يدّعي إدراك جملتها

حفظت شيئاً وغابت عنها أشياء

حفظت شيئاً وغابت عنها أشياء

So say to whoever claims to comprehend them all:

Say to those who claim to grasp it all-

You have retained one thing, while other things are missing from it.

You have grasped some, yet much remains hidden.
