The noble one visited his land, and fragrant grew
The generous one visited his country,
Its reaches, and the hills within it smiled.
Its corners became fragrant, and its expanses smiled at him.

وغدا الصعيد به صيعداً طيبا
And at his coming, the face of the earth grew moist.
The face of the land turned green from his steps,
And Upper Egypt became, through him, wholesome soil.
And the ground became with him a sweet highland.
