الصفو راق فقم إليه وبادرِ

الصفو راق فقم إليه وبادرِ

وانهض إلى شربِ المدامِ وباكرِ

Pleasure has grown sweet; rise to it and hasten.

The dawn is bright, so rise to it and hasten,

And rise to drink the wine, and do so early.

And get up to drink the wine, be an early riser,

فالأنس وافي والمسرى أقبلت

فالأنس وافي والمسرى أقبلت

والسعد قابلنا بوجهٍ سافرِ

والسعد قابلنا بوجهٍ سافرِ

For convivial joy has arrived, and the night journey has come.

For companionship has arrived and joy drawn near,

And good fortune met us with an unveiled face.

And fortune has met us with an open face,

ودنا بعثمانَ السرور وبشرت

ودنا بعثمانَ السرور وبشرت

أوقات مولده بعزٍّ ظاهرِ

أوقات مولده بعزٍّ ظاهرِ

And joy drew near with Uthman, and glad tidings were proclaimed

And brought Usman gladness and good news,

By the hours of his birth, of manifest glory.

The times of his birth with manifest might,

فاسعد عليُّ بحسن حظ وابتهج

فاسعد عليُّ بحسن حظ وابتهج

ببشائر واهنأ بقرة ناظرِ

ببشائر واهنأ بقرة ناظرِ

So rejoice, Ali, in good fortune, and be glad

So Ali rejoice in good fortune and delight,

In glad tidings, and enjoy the solace of the eye.

In tidings, and congratulate with joyful sights,

واطرب بنجلٍ كان في ميلاده

واطرب بنجلٍ كان في ميلاده

فرح الفؤاد مع ابتهاج الخاطرِ

فرح الفؤاد مع ابتهاج الخاطرِ

And rejoice in a son, at whose birth there was

And be joyous for a son whose birth,

Joy of the heart, together with gladness of the mind.

Brought joy to the heart and delight to thoughts,

وبدا بشعبانٍ سناه مؤرخاً

وبدا بشعبانٍ سناه مؤرخاً

عثمان طالعه بدا ببشائرِ

عثمان طالعه بدا ببشائرِ

And in Sha'ban his radiance appeared, its date recorded:

And he arrived in Shaban, dating his year,

Uthman's rising star appeared with glad tidings.
