نائي ولا تتأسفوا

نائي ولا تتأسفوا

O people, do not grieve for the

O people, do not despair for the one who is gone

absent one, nor lament.

And do not grieve

إن كان يعقوبٌ مضى

إن كان يعقوبٌ مضى

فلقد أتاكم يوسفُ

فلقد أتاكم يوسفُ

If Ya‘qub has departed,

If Jacob has passed on

then Yusuf has indeed come to you.

Then Joseph has come to you
