ياO آلfamily of ناصيفٍNāṣīf بكمby you ناصفٌNāṣif
يا آل ناصيفٍ بكم ناصفٌ
مغرىًenamored لهhe has فيin الافتتانِinfatuation افتنانْartistry
مغرىً له في الافتتانِ افتنانْ
O family of Nāṣīf, by you Nāṣif is
O people of Nasif, among you is one so alluring,
Enamored; in his infatuation he shows artistry.
Seducing with his charm and temptation.
ومنand whoever يطعheeds فيكمfor you دواعيpromptings of الهوىlove
ومن يطع فيكم دواعي الهوى
هيهاتfar from possible أنthat يعصيdefy عليهagainst him البيانْeloquence
هيهات أن يعصي عليه البيانْ
And whoever heeds love’s promptings for you—
And he who follows your passions' call,
Far be it that eloquence should defy him.
Will surely be enslaved by poetry's spell.
