جَليّتَ بالبرهانِ صبحَ الهدى

جَليّتَ بالبرهانِ صبحَ الهدى

أعيذُ تبيانكَ بالعصرِ

أعيذُ تبيانكَ بالعصرِ

You unveiled with proof the dawn of guidance.

I seek protection for your exposition through al-ʿAsr.

في موقفٍ ما جاء في بابهِ

في موقفٍ ما جاء في بابهِ

له نظيرٌ في قضا مصرِ

له نظيرٌ في قضا مصرِ

In a case of a kind that has never had

An equal in the courts of Egypt.

ففزتُ بالنصر كما اعتدتَه

ففزتُ بالنصر كما اعتدتَه

جوزيتَ خيراً يا أب النصرِ

جوزيتَ خيراً يا أب النصرِ

So I won victory, as you are accustomed to doing.

May you be rewarded with good, O Abu al-Nasr.
