الفايقُ ابن السريّ سامي

بمخلصٍ للقلوبِ شائقْ

بمخلصٍ للقلوبِ شائقْ

Al-Fayiq, son of the noble Sami,

The victorious son of es-Sariy is sublime,

charms hearts with a pen name.

With a heart sincere and yearning.

وقد علا وجهَه سرورٌ

وقد علا وجهَه سرورٌ

فقلت لا غرو فهو فائقْ

فقلت لا غرو فهو فائقْ

And joy had spread across his face;

Joy lights up his face,

so I said, “No wonder, for he is outstanding!”

No wonder - he excels!
