فلئن تكن خُلقت لشربكها فقد

If you were created to drink it, then indeed

the Blaze was created so that you might be tormented.

the blazing fire was created so that you might suffer torment.

لم يخلق الله الحميّا عابثا

وكذاك ما خُلقت جهنم ملعبا

وكذاك ما خُلقت جهنم ملعبا

God did not create wine in vain;

God did not create wine frivolously,

and likewise, Hell was not created as a playground.
