بالبشر والتوفيق هلَّ أمينُ

بالبشر والتوفيق هلَّ أمينُ

فلتفرح الدنيا به والدينُ

فلتفرح الدنيا به والدينُ

With glad tidings and success, Amin has arrived.

With gladness and success, Amin has appeared!

Let the world rejoice in him—and faith as well.

So let the world and faith rejoice in him.

وليْبتسم ثغر الزمان بيمنه

وليْبتسم ثغر الزمان بيمنه

وليتّسم بالأمن هذا الحينُ

وليتّسم بالأمن هذا الحينُ

May the mouth of Time smile at his auspiciousness,

And let Time's mouth smile at his good fortune;

and may this age bear the mark of peace.

And let this time be marked by security.

وافَى وكان البدر في استقبالهِ

وافَى وكان البدر في استقبالهِ

ولنَعم وضع بالكامل قرينُ

ولنَعم وضع بالكامل قرينُ

He arrived, with the full moon there to welcome him;

He arrived, and the full moon was there to welcome him;

how splendidly a peer was set beside the perfect one!

And how excellent indeed a birth paired with the perfect one!

وبدا وللأرواح أيّ تشوف

وبدا وللأرواح أيّ تشوف

شوقاً إليه وللنفوس حنينُ

شوقاً إليه وللنفوس حنينُ

He appeared—and how the spirits had yearned,

And he appeared—what eager anticipation the spirits felt,

longing for him, while souls ached with desire.

Longing for him, while the souls yearned!

والدهر ضنّ به زماناً إنه

والدهر ضنّ به زماناً إنه

فيما علمنا بالنفيس ضنينُ

فيما علمنا بالنفيس ضنينُ

Time had grudged him for a while; indeed,

And Time withheld him for a while; indeed, it is,

so far as we know, it is miserly with precious things.

As we have learned, miserly with precious things.

حيّا فآنس حيَّه بقدومهِ

حيّا فآنس حيَّه بقدومهِ

والبدرُ يؤنس أفْقه ويزينُ

والبدرُ يؤنس أفْقه ويزينُ

He came alive, and with his coming cheered his people;

He gave greeting and gladdened his people with his arrival;

the full moon gladdens his horizon and adorns it.

And the full moon gladdens its horizon and adorns it.

والسعد مال إليه وهو بمهده

والسعد مال إليه وهو بمهده

والمجد حام عليه وهو جنينُ

والمجد حام عليه وهو جنينُ

Good fortune inclined toward him while he lay in his cradle,

And good fortune leaned toward him while he was in his cradle;

and glory hovered over him while he was still unborn.

ومن أقتفتهِ عناية من بدئهِ

فبلوغه درجَ الكمال يقينُ

He whom Providence has attended from his very beginning—

And one whom care has followed from his beginning

his ascent through the degrees of perfection is assured.

Is certain to reach the steps of perfection.

فلْنهنأ الأيام فهو أمينها

فلْنهنأ الأيام فهو أمينها

ولتعتصم بعلاه فهو أمينُ

ولتعتصم بعلاه فهو أمينُ

Let us congratulate the days, for he is their faithful keeper;

So let us congratulate the days, for he is their trusted guardian;

let them seek refuge in his exalted worth: he is Amin, the trustworthy.

And let them seek refuge in his eminence, for he is trustworthy.

ولتنشد الأفراح في تاريخهِ

ولتنشد الأفراح في تاريخهِ

بالبشر والتوفيق هلّ أمينُ

بالبشر والتوفيق هلّ أمينُ

And let joys chant, to mark his date:

And let joys sing out his chronogram:

With glad tidings and success, Amin has arrived.
