يباهي نفحةَ الندِّ
A greeting whose radiance has grown delicate,
A soft greeting, radiant in its elegance,
Vying with a waft of fragrant incense,
Outshines the breeze's scent.

حليفِ الفضلِ والمجدِ
The breeze conveys it to
The gentle wind conveys it
The ally of virtue and glory,
To the ally of merit and glory,

On the horizon of honor and good fortune,
On the horizon of might and fortune.

From the captive, in whom has blazed
Who is the passionate one whose ribs
The fire of longing within his ribs.
Were set ablaze by intense longing?

تلاقى الضد بالضدِ
So, how I marvel at my body:
How wondrous that in my body
One opposite has met its opposite.
Opposites have come together.

And the fire of longing scorches it,
The fire of yearning pays him homage,
And yet it has died of cold.
Yet he died from the cold.

And bitter cold has settled in me, but
Stay close to me, though the cold
One treats the cold with a cloak.
Can be cured by the cold.

Don't you know, my lord,
That the cold can kill?
That cold can also destroy?

My two hands were empty of cash,
Devoid of money,

I would have come long ago
Something useful for winter.
With something to alleviate the winter.

وهذا غاية القصدِ
And may you remain above all you have sought,
May you remain above your hopes-
And this is my ultimate aim.
That is the height of intentions.
