وَالريحَ يا موقِدُ ريحٌ صِرُّ
Light the fire, for the night is a cold night.
Kindle the fire, for the night is cold
And the wind, O fire-kindler, is a bitterly cold wind.
And the wind, O kindler, is biting cold
عَسىmay يَرىsee نارَكَyour fire مَنwhoever يَمُرُّpasses by

إِن جَلَبَت ضَيفاً فَأَنتَ حُرُّ
May whoever passes by see your fire.
May he who passes see your fire
If it brings a guest, then you are free.
If you bring a guest, you are free
