Najran, after its kings, has indeed been given

Wicked successors—its people and its women.

And even if the Merciful forbids a dreadful outrage,

Hulking brutes commit it, its recompense scant.

They wish to conceal a curse from God

Whenever they commit it, though its covering is plain to see.

Your women—your daughters-in-law and your daughters—

Are harlots, their payment single copper coins.
