لا تُنكِرَنَّ قُرَيشٌ فَضلَ صاحِبَنا

لا تُنكِرَنَّ قُرَيشٌ فَضلَ صاحِبَنا

سَعدٍ وَما في مَقالي اليَومَ مِن أَوَدِ

سَعدٍ وَما في مَقالي اليَومَ مِن أَوَدِ

Let Quraysh never deny the merit of our companion,

Quraysh, do not deny the merit of our master Sa'd

Sa'd—and there is no crookedness in my words today.

And there is no intimacy in my words today

قالَت قُرَيشٌ لَنا السُلطانُ دونَكُمُ

قالَت قُرَيشٌ لَنا السُلطانُ دونَكُمُ

لا تَطمَعُنَّ بِهَذا الأَمرِ مِن أَحَدِ

لا تَطمَعُنَّ بِهَذا الأَمرِ مِن أَحَدِ

Quraysh said to us, "Rule is not for you;

Quraysh said to us, "The authority is ours, not yours

Do not hope for this authority from anyone."

Do not aspire for this matter, anyone"

قُلنا لَهُم ثَوِّروا حَقّاً فَنَتبَعُهُ

قُلنا لَهُم ثَوِّروا حَقّاً فَنَتبَعُهُ

لَسنا نُريدُ سِواهُ آخِرَ الأَبَدِ

لَسنا نُريدُ سِواهُ آخِرَ الأَبَدِ

We told them, "Bring forth a rightful claim, and we shall follow it;

We said to them, revolt truthfully and we will follow it

We desire nothing else, to eternity's end.

We do not want other than it to the end of time

إِن كانَ عِندَكُمُ عَهدٌ فَيَظهَرُ في

إِن كانَ عِندَكُمُ عَهدٌ فَيَظهَرُ في

أَشياخِ بَدرٍ وَأَهلِ الشِعبِ مِن أُحُدِ

أَشياخِ بَدرٍ وَأَهلِ الشِعبِ مِن أُحُدِ

If you have a covenant, it will become evident among

نَحنُ الَذينَ ضَرَبنا الناسَ عَن عُرُضٍ

حَتّى اِستَقاموا وَكانوا بَيضَةَ البَلَدِ

حَتّى اِستَقاموا وَكانوا بَيضَةَ البَلَدِ

We are those who struck the people indiscriminately,

We are those who drove people away from pride

Until they became upright and formed the town's core.

Until they became upright and were eggs of the country

في كُلِّ يَومٍ لَنا أَمرٌ نَفوزُ بِهِ

في كُلِّ يَومٍ لَنا أَمرٌ نَفوزُ بِهِ

يُعطي الإِلَهُ عَلَيهِ جَنَّةَ الخُلدِ

يُعطي الإِلَهُ عَلَيهِ جَنَّةَ الخُلدِ

Each day we have an undertaking through which we triumph,

For us every day there is a matter we win with

For which God grants the Garden of Eternity.

God grants paradise of immortality for it

لَستُم بِأَولى بِهِ مِنّا لَأَنَّ لَنا

لَستُم بِأَولى بِهِ مِنّا لَأَنَّ لَنا

وَسطَ المَدينَةِ فَضلَ العِزِّ وَالعَدَدِ

وَسطَ المَدينَةِ فَضلَ العِزِّ وَالعَدَدِ

You have no greater right to it than we do, because we have

You are not more qualified for it than us, because for us

Preeminence in might and numbers in the midst of Medina,

In the middle of the city is the merit of honor and number

وَأَنَّنا يَومَ بِعنا اللَهَ أَنفُسَنا

وَأَنَّنا يَومَ بِعنا اللَهَ أَنفُسَنا

لَم نُبدِ خَوفاً عَلى مالٍ وَلا وَلَدِ

لَم نُبدِ خَوفاً عَلى مالٍ وَلا وَلَدِ

And because, on the day we sold ourselves to God,

And that when we sold ourselves to Allah

We showed no fear for wealth or children,

We did not show fear for money or children

وَالناسُ حَربٌ لَنا في اللَهِ كُلُّهُمُ

وَالناسُ حَربٌ لَنا في اللَهِ كُلُّهُمُ

مِثلُ الثَعالِبِ تَغشى غابَةَ الأَسَدِ

مِثلُ الثَعالِبِ تَغشى غابَةَ الأَسَدِ

While all the people were at war with us on God's account,

And people are war for us for God all of them

Like foxes entering the lion's thicket."

Like foxes overwhelming the forest of the lion
