إِنّيindeed I لَعَمرُby the life of أَبيكَyour father شَرٌّworse مِنthan أَبيmy father
وَلَأَنتَand indeed you خَيرٌbetter مِنthan أَبيكَyour father وَأَكرَمُand nobler
By your father's life, I am indeed worse than my father.
And you are indeed better than your father, and nobler.
وَبَنوكَand your sons نَوكىfools كُلُّهُمall of them ذوhaving عِلَّةٍan affliction
وَلَأَنتَand indeed you شَرٌّworse مِنthan بَنيكَyour sons وَأَلأَمُand baser
And your sons are fools, every one of them afflicted.
And you are indeed worse than your sons, and baser.
