شَهِدتُ بِإِذنِ اللَهِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً

شَهِدتُ بِإِذنِ اللَهِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً

رَسولُ الَّذي فَوقَ السَماواتِ مِن عَلُ

رَسولُ الَّذي فَوقَ السَماواتِ مِن عَلُ

I have borne witness, by God's leave, that Muhammad

I bear witness, by God's leave, that Muhammad

is the messenger of Him who is above the heavens, on high;

Is the Messenger of the One above the heavens enthroned,

وَأَنَّ أَبا يَحيى وَيَحيى كِلَيهِما

وَأَنَّ أَبا يَحيى وَيَحيى كِلَيهِما

لَهُ عَمَلٌ في دينِهِ مُتَقَبَّلُ

لَهُ عَمَلٌ في دينِهِ مُتَقَبَّلُ

and that Yahya's father and Yahya, both of them,

And that Abū Yahyā and his son Yahyā

have work in their faith that is accepted;

Have done work in His faith that is accepted,

وَأَنَّ الَّتي بِالسُدِّ مِن بَطنِ نَخلَةٍ

وَأَنَّ الَّتي بِالسُدِّ مِن بَطنِ نَخلَةٍ

وَمَن دانَها فِلٌّ مِنَ الخَيرِ مَعزِلُ

وَمَن دانَها فِلٌّ مِنَ الخَيرِ مَعزِلُ

and that she who is at al-Sudd in the valley of Nakhla,

And that she of the palm-trunk barrier

and whoever worships her, are vanquished, cut off from goodness;

And he who helped her are both far from evil,

وَأَنَّ الَّذي عادى اليَهودَ اِبنَ مَريَمَ

وَأَنَّ الَّذي عادى اليَهودَ اِبنَ مَريَمَ

رَسولٌ أَتى مِن عِندِ ذي العَرشِ مُرسَلُ

رَسولٌ أَتى مِن عِندِ ذي العَرشِ مُرسَلُ

and that he who opposed the Jews, the son of Mary,

And he who opposed the Jews, son of Mary,

is a messenger who came, sent from the Lord of the Throne;

Is the Messenger sent by the Lord of the Throne,

وَأَنَّ أَخا الأَحقافِ إِذ يَعذِلونَهُ

وَأَنَّ أَخا الأَحقافِ إِذ يَعذِلونَهُ

يُجاهِدُ في ذاتِ الإِلَهِ وَيَعدِلُ

يُجاهِدُ في ذاتِ الإِلَهِ وَيَعدِلُ

and that the brother of al-Ahqaf, when they reproach him,

And the brother of Al-Aḥqāf, when they oppressed him,

strives for God's sake and acts justly.

Struggled for God's sake, and acted with justice.
