And by God, we shall never be without battalions,
By God, battalions will never cease from us,
With every armored warrior, brave of spirit and clad in mail.
With every brave, stout-hearted warrior,

Chieftains, heroes, lions, mighty men—
Valiant heroes, fierce lions, honored ones,
The space between Salʿ and Fāriʿ grows cramped with them.
They crowd the region between Sal' and Fari'.

Their battalions pour down on every Samiyda',
Trustworthy in war, imposing and outstanding.
O brother of proven valor in war, most skilled.

When war bares its fangs, they rise to meet it
With every Rudayni lance and dark-shafted, striking spear.
With every strong-armed and dark-skinned warrior.

Their strongholds on battle's day: every swimming steed,
Their fortresses on the day of turmoil are every swimmer
And every gleaming, cutting sword, broad along both edges.
And white blade that severs necks.
