O clan of Bakr, will you not restrain your fool,

    ʿAbd ibn Rakhṣa, a she-goat among he-goats?

O son of the woman who shat in her neighbor’s house,

So from it flew a dust cloud that befouled the people.

As though her nails had been hewn from stone,

Not one of them is anything but swollen and hard.

Like monkeys—whenever you come to their gathering,

You find every vile fellow with his penis stiff.
