ياO كَريماًgenerous one بِعَيشِهِwith his livelihood لِلبَراياto all creation
يا كَريماً بِعَيشِهِ لِلبَرايا
وَسَخياًand generous بِالمالِwith wealth تَفديكَransoms you نَفسيmy soul
وَسَخياً بِالمالِ تَفديكَ نَفسي
O one generous with his livelihood to all creation,
O generous one with life for all mankind
And generous with wealth—may my soul be your ransom!
And lavish with wealth, I ransom you my soul
إِنَّindeed فيamong الناسِthe people لَوif عَلِمتyou knew عُراةًunclothed people
إِنَّ في الناسِ لَو عَلِمت عُراةً
فَتَكَرَّمso be generous وَراعِand show care وَاِنظُرand look لِتَكسيso that you may clothe them
فَتَكَرَّم وَراعِ وَاِنظُر لِتَكسي
Indeed, among the people—if you knew—are those unclothed.
Though in people, if known, there is nakedness
So be generous, show care, and see to clothing them.
So be gracious, take heed, and look to clothe
