لَوif انَّthat والِدَكَyour father الَّذيwhom عَرَضتَهُyou exposed him
لَو انَّ والِدَكَ الَّذي عَرَضتَهُ
لِلشَتمِto insults فيin صُبحٍmorning وَظُهرٍand noon وَعَشاand evening
لِلشَتمِ في صُبحٍ وَظُهرٍ وَعَشا
If your father, whom you exposed
If your father whom you have abused
To insults morning, noon, and evening,
Morning, noon, and eventide,
قَدhad ظَنَّimagined أَنَّكَthat you نُطفَةًa drop of seed فيin ظَهرِهِhis loins
قَد ظَنَّ أَنَّكَ نُطفَةً في ظَهرِهِ
لِأَبيwould have refused مُضاجَعَةَlying with النِساwomen وَتَطوشاand become a eunuch
لِأَبي مُضاجَعَةَ النِسا وَتَطوشا
Had imagined you, still a drop of seed in his loins,
Had thought you once a speck of seed
He would have refused to lie with women and become a eunuch.
In his back, you had not seen the light.
