شَبَّهتُ أَحمَدَ وَالصَديقُ مَع عُمَر

شَبَّهتُ أَحمَدَ وَالصَديقُ مَع عُمَر

ثُمَّ اِبنُ عَفّانَ وَالشَهمُ الهُمامُ عَلِي

ثُمَّ اِبنُ عَفّانَ وَالشَهمُ الهُمامُ عَلِي

I likened Ahmad—with al-Siddiq and Umar,

I compared Ahmad and the faithful friend with Omar

Then Ibn Affan and noble-hearted, valiant Ali—

Then the son of Affan and the courageous, magnanimous Ali

بِالمُشتَرى حَولَهُ الأَقمارُ أَربَعَةً

بِالمُشتَرى حَولَهُ الأَقمارُ أَربَعَةً

وَإشن يَكُن قَدرُهُم فَوقَ الطِباقِ عَلي

وَإشن يَكُن قَدرُهُم فَوقَ الطِباقِ عَلي

To Jupiter, with four moons around him,

To the one purchased, around him are four moons

Though their rank is lofty above the layered heavens.

And if their worth is above the heaven, Ali is
