اِشكُرِ لِتَوكيلَ البُحَيرَةِ مُصطَفى

اِشكُرِ لِتَوكيلَ البُحَيرَةِ مُصطَفى

فَهوَ الموصِلُ لِلأَماني وَالصَفا

فَهوَ الموصِلُ لِلأَماني وَالصَفا

Give thanks, Mustafa, for the Beheira appointment.

Thank Temkil Buhera Mustafa

For it leads to wishes fulfilled and serenity.

For he is the conduit to hopes and joy

سَتَرى السَعادَةَ بَعدَهُ وَزاكَ قَد

سَتَرى السَعادَةَ بَعدَهُ وَزاكَ قَد

أَحرَزَت تالِدَها وَنِلتَ الطارِفا

أَحرَزَت تالِدَها وَنِلتَ الطارِفا

You will see happiness after it; and as for that, you have already

You will see happiness after him and have secured

secured its inherited share and gained the newly acquired.

Its birth and attained grace

أَنتَ اِبنُ مَجدٍ غَيرَ أَنَّكَ بِالحِجى

أَنتَ اِبنُ مَجدٍ غَيرَ أَنَّكَ بِالحِجى

وَالفَضلُ زِدتُ رِعايَةً وَتَشَرُّفا

وَالفَضلُ زِدتُ رِعايَةً وَتَشَرُّفا

You are a son of glory, yet through wisdom

You are a son of glory though modesty

and merit you have gained greater regard and honor.

Increased my care and ennoblement

حُزتُ المَحامِدَ بِاِجتِهادِكَ فَاِقتَفَت

حُزتُ المَحامِدَ بِاِجتِهادِكَ فَاِقتَفَت

آثارَكَ العَليا وَحالَفَكَ الوَفا

آثارَكَ العَليا وَحالَفَكَ الوَفا

You won praise through your diligence, so it followed

I won praise through your diligence so emulated

your lofty footsteps, and fidelity became your ally.

Your sublime traces and enjoyed loyalty

وَغَدَوتُ في كَسبِ المَعالي ماهِراً

وَغَدَوتُ في كَسبِ المَعالي ماهِراً

وَأَخَذتُ مِن كَنزِ المَحاسِنِ ما كَفى

وَأَخَذتُ مِن كَنزِ المَحاسِنِ ما كَفى

And you became skilled at attaining high honors,

And became adept in gaining heights while

and took from the treasure of virtues what sufficed.

Taking from the treasure of virtues enough

وَأُذيعَ ذِكرُكَ عاطِراً أَظَهَرَتهُ

وَأُذيعَ ذِكرُكَ عاطِراً أَظَهَرَتهُ

بِالجِدِّ حَتّى صارَ أَشهَرَ مَن قَفا

بِالجِدِّ حَتّى صارَ أَشهَرَ مَن قَفا

And your fragrant renown was spread abroad; you made it known

Your fragrant mention spread which you manifested

through diligence, until it became more famous than “Halt, you two!”

Through diligence until it became best known

وَالدَهرُ قالَ تَرقَبَنَّ مَواهِبي

وَالدَهرُ قالَ تَرقَبَنَّ مَواهِبي

فَإِلَيكَ خَيري لَيسَ يَفتَأُ مُسعِفا

فَإِلَيكَ خَيري لَيسَ يَفتَأُ مُسعِفا

And Time said, “Be sure to await my gifts;

And time said I await to favor you

for my bounty comes to you, never ceasing to bring aid.”

To you my goodness never ceasing to oblige

فَاِفرَح وَعِش في صَفوِ عَيشٍ أَرغَدَ

فَاِفرَح وَعِش في صَفوِ عَيشٍ أَرغَدَ

وَاِرقُب قُبولاً لا يُخالِطُهُ جَفا

وَاِرقُب قُبولاً لا يُخالِطُهُ جَفا

So rejoice, and live in the serenity of a more comfortable life,

So rejoice and live in the essence of ease

and await acceptance untainted by coldness.

And expect acceptance without reserve

وَإِذا ذَكَرتَ لِما أَشَرتَ مُؤَرِّخا

وَإِذا ذَكَرتَ لِما أَشَرتَ مُؤَرِّخا

اِشكُر لِتَوكيلِ البُحَيرَةِ مُصطَفى

اِشكُر لِتَوكيلِ البُحَيرَةِ مُصطَفى

And when you mention what you have indicated, recording its date:

And when you recount what I have indicated
