لِصاحِبِ هَذا القَبرِ نَسأَل رَبَّنا

لِصاحِبِ هَذا القَبرِ نَسأَل رَبَّنا

تَتابَعَ إِحسانٌ وَإِسباغٌ أَفضالِ

تَتابَعَ إِحسانٌ وَإِسباغٌ أَفضالِ

For the occupant of this grave, we ask our Lord

For the owner of this grave we ask our Lord

For continued kindness and the lavish bestowal of favors.

To bestow continuous benevolence and abundant grace

فَقَد كانَ مِقداماً كَريماً مَكرَما

فَقَد كانَ مِقداماً كَريماً مَكرَما

مُحِباً لِخَيرٍ مُحيِياً سَنَةَ الآلِ

مُحِباً لِخَيرٍ مُحيِياً سَنَةَ الآلِ

For he was bold, generous, and honored,

For he was generous and kind, held in high esteem

Loving goodness, reviving the family's tradition.

A lover of good, reviver of family tradition

وَقابِل مَولاهُ فَقوبِلَ بِالرِضا

وَقابِل مَولاهُ فَقوبِلَ بِالرِضا

وَأَصبَحَ في الفِردَوسِ في مَسكَنٍ عالي

وَأَصبَحَ في الفِردَوسِ في مَسكَنٍ عالي

And he met his Lord and was received with approval,

He met his Master in acceptance

And came to dwell in Paradise, in a lofty abode.

And dwells now in Paradise, in a lofty abode

وَحَسبُكَ أَنَّ في عَدنٍ قالوا وَأَرخوا

وَحَسبُكَ أَنَّ في عَدنٍ قالوا وَأَرخوا

لِمُحرِزٍ حورُ العينِ حَفَّت لِإِقبالِ

لِمُحرِزٍ حورُ العينِ حَفَّت لِإِقبالِ

And suffice it for you that in Eden they said, recording the date:

It suffices you that in Eden, they said and set down

For Muhriz, the wide-eyed houris gathered round to welcome him.

For the protected one, the houris of Paradise gathered for union
