مُحرِزُ الفَضلِ بِالهَناءِ تَمَتَّعُ

ثُمَّ شَمِّر عَنِ الصَفا ساعَةَ الجِدِّ

The one endowed with excellence rejoices at praise

Then roll up your sleeve when the time for endeavor comes

قَد حَباكَ الكَريمُ نَجلاً سَعيداً

باذِخَ المَجدِ وَالدائِمِ عَن جَدِّ

The Bountiful has gifted you a happy son

With everlasting glory and renown through effort

وَبِخَيرِ الأَسماءِ سَمى فَأَضحى

قالَهُ أَحمَداً أَتى لِمُحَمَّدِ

And the best of names He named him, so he became

Ahmad, who came for Muhammad

بَينَ أَيديهِ طالَعَ السَعدُ بادِ

مُنَبِّئاً أَنَّهُ يَسودُ وَيَسعَدِ

Before him good fortune's star rose radiant

Foretelling he will prevail and be fortunate

فَتَرَقَّب إِذا أَرَدتَ وَأَرِّخ

تَجِدِ اليُمنَ يَقتَفي أَثَرَ أَحمَدِ

So watch if you would, and record
