Eid has the finest custom I have pledged to uphold:
For the feast I have vowed the finest custom:
It visits the noble, openhearted and smiling.
The nobles come with open smiles,
وَلَهُمand for them يَقسِمُit apportions ماwhat يَسِرُّbrings joy وَحَبَّذاand how fine
بَينَamong الأَحِبَّةِloved ones بِالمَكارِمِwith bounties قاسِمُa sharer
And shares with them what brings joy—how fine
And for them he distributes as he pleases and approves
A sharer of bounty among loved ones!
Among the loved ones, dividing with virtues.
