الحَظُّ قَد أَوفى وَأَوفى بِالمَنَنِ

الحَظُّ قَد أَوفى وَأَوفى بِالمَنَنِ

وَعَلى دَوامِ الأُنسِ حالَفَنا الزَمَنُ

Fortune has been bountiful, and bountiful in its favors;

وَلِآلِ مِزراحي الأَكارِمُ بِالهَنا

فَحَباهُم وَلِنَعمَ هِيَ مِن مِنَّةِ

بِشِفائِهِ مِمّا يورِثُ لِلشَجَنِ

So He blessed them—what a splendid favor it was—

With his recovery from what gives rise to sorrow.

وَالبِشرُ قالَ مُهَلِّلاً وَمُؤَرِّخاً

وَالبِشرُ قالَ مُهَلِّلاً وَمُؤَرِّخاً

بِشِفاكَ جاكَ الحَظُّ قورِنَ بِالمِنَنِ

بِشِفاكَ جاكَ الحَظُّ قورِنَ بِالمِنَنِ

And gladness said, exulting and recording the date:

"With your recovery, Jacques, fortune was joined with favors."
