I weep over my plight at the mention of serenity.
I weep for my state when Safa is recalled
And I nearly melt away with sorrow for it.
And I nearly melt from grief over it

Youth has gone, and no pleasure has been sweet to me.
Youth has departed, and no pleasure was sweet for me
And gray hair has come, and no serenity brings delight.
Old age has come, with no purity that pleases
