فيat مَطلَعِthe dawn الأَسعادِgood fortunes أَشرَقَshone كَوكَبُa star
في مَطلَعِ الأَسعادِ أَشرَقَ كَوكَبُ
يَزهوshines resplendently لِفَهميfor Fahmi ذيpossessor of المَقامِthe station الأَمجَدِmost glorious
يَزهو لِفَهمي ذي المَقامِ الأَمجَدِ
At the dawn of good fortune, a star shone.
In the dawn of good fortune, a star has risen
It shines resplendently for Fahmi, of the most glorious station.
It blossoms for my understanding, of the most glorious abode
حَيثُfor المُهَيمِنُthe Guardian قَدindeed حَباهُhas granted him بِفَضلِهِby His grace
حَيثُ المُهَيمِنُ قَد حَباهُ بِفَضلِهِ
نَجلاًa son سَيَظهَرُwill emerge بَينَناamong us بِالسُؤدُدِwith eminence
نَجلاً سَيَظهَرُ بَينَنا بِالسُؤدُدِ
For the Guardian has granted him, by His grace,
Where the Omnipotent has endowed him with His bounty
a son who will rise among us in eminence.
A noble son, who will appear among us with bliss
وَلَقَدand indeed دَعاهُhe named him مُحَمَّداًMuhammad مُتَيَمِّناًseeking blessing
وَلَقَد دَعاهُ مُحَمَّداً مُتَيَمِّناً
بِاِسمِthrough the name of الرَسولِthe Messenger وَذاكَand that أَشرَفُthe noblest مَقصَدِaim
بِاِسمِ الرَسولِ وَذاكَ أَشرَفُ مَقصَدِ
And indeed, he named him Muhammad, seeking blessing
And He has named him Muhammad, auspiciously
through the Messenger’s name—and that is the noblest aim.
With the name of the Messenger, and that is the noblest purpose
وَلِأَجلِand for the sake of ذاthis قالَsaid البَشيرُthe bearer of glad tidings مُؤَرِّخاًrecording the date
وَلِأَجلِ ذا قالَ البَشيرُ مُؤَرِّخاً
يَحظىprospers سُلَيمانَSulayman بِيُمنِthrough the blessing of مُحَمِّدِMuhammad
يَحظى سُلَيمانَ بِيُمنِ مُحَمِّدِ
And for this, the bearer of glad tidings said, recording the date:
And for this the Bringer of Good News has said, chronicling
“Sulayman prospers through Muhammad’s blessing.”
Suleiman will enjoy the blessings of Muhammad
