لَكَ الحَظُّ عَبدُ اللَهِ هَذي بُنيَةٌ

لَكَ الحَظُّ عَبدُ اللَهِ هَذي بُنيَةٌ

تَزيدُكَ أَفراحاً عَلى رِفعَةِ الشانِ

تَزيدُكَ أَفراحاً عَلى رِفعَةِ الشانِ

Fortune is yours, Abdullah: here is a little daughter,

Good fortune is yours, Abdullah, this is a structure

Who adds joys to your lofty standing.

That adds joys upon the height of glory and fame

رَأَت بَينَ أَيديكَ الثُرَيّا مَزانَةً

رَأَت بَينَ أَيديكَ الثُرَيّا مَزانَةً

بَدرِيَّةً وَالبَدرُ في أُفقُهِ داني

بَدرِيَّةً وَالبَدرُ في أُفقُهِ داني

She saw the Pleiades before you in splendour,

It saw treasures before you balanced

Bright as a full moon, with the full moon near in its horizon.

Full like the moon nearing its fullness

فَجاءَت تُباهي وَالسَعادَةُ ظِئرُها

فَجاءَت تُباهي وَالسَعادَةُ ظِئرُها

وَوافَقَها في الاِسمِ إِحسانُ مَنانِ

وَوافَقَها في الاِسمِ إِحسانُ مَنانِ

So she came proudly, with happiness as her wet nurse;

So it came boasting, and happiness is its companion

And the Bountiful One’s beneficence—Ihsan—matched her name.

Matching it in name, the benevolence of the bestower

تَقولُ لَكُم بُشرى بِصَفوِ مَعيشَةٍ

تَقولُ لَكُم بُشرى بِصَفوِ مَعيشَةٍ

وَمَنهَلُ آلاءٍ بِهِ اللَهُ وَأَساني

وَمَنهَلُ آلاءٍ بِهِ اللَهُ وَأَساني

She tells you glad tidings of a tranquil life,

It tells you glad tidings of the prime of livelihood

And a wellspring of blessings through which God consoled me.

And a spring of blessings which God has made smooth

في العِزِّ مَصحوباً تَرَونَ مُؤَرِّخاً

في العِزِّ مَصحوباً تَرَونَ مُؤَرِّخاً

وَبي الأُنسِ مَحفوفاً بِخَيرٍ وَإِحسانِ

وَبي الأُنسِ مَحفوفاً بِخَيرٍ وَإِحسانِ

You see a chronicler attended by honour,

You will see it chronicled in glory

And through me, fellowship enfolded in goodness and beneficence.

And in intimacy surrounded by good and kindness
