يا رَبِّ إِنَّكَ عالِمٌ بِتَولعي

يا رَبِّ إِنَّكَ عالِمٌ بِتَولعي

بِالحَظِّ وَالإيناسِ وَالتَفريحِ

بِالحَظِّ وَالإيناسِ وَالتَفريحِ

O my Lord, You indeed know my fondness

O Lord, You know my passion

For good fortune, fellowship, and bringing joy.

For fortune, comfort and delight

وَلَكُلِّ عَبدٍ مِن عِبادِكَ أَرتَجي

وَلَكُلِّ عَبدٍ مِن عِبادِكَ أَرتَجي

خَيراً بِلا طَعنٍ وَلا تَجريحِ

خَيراً بِلا طَعنٍ وَلا تَجريحِ

And for every servant of Yours I wish

And every servant of Yours hopes

Good, without disparagement or hurt.

For goodness without blame or spite

حَتّى الثَقيلَ يَوَدُّني وَأَوُدُّهُ

حَتّى الثَقيلَ يَوَدُّني وَأَوُدُّهُ

بِمَحاسِنَ الأَخلاقِ وَالتَرويحِ

بِمَحاسِنَ الأَخلاقِ وَالتَرويحِ

Even the tiresome one loves me, and I love him,

Even the difficult one wishes me well

Through fine manners and bringing comfort.

With good morals and respite

فَاِممَن عَلَيَّ بِأَلفِ كيسٍ جُملَةً

فَاِممَن عَلَيَّ بِأَلفِ كيسٍ جُملَةً

أَقضي بِها الأَوطارَ قَبلَ ضَريحي

أَقضي بِها الأَوطارَ قَبلَ ضَريحي

So favor me with a thousand purses all at once,

So grant me a thousand kind acts

To fulfill my wishes with them before I reach my tomb:

To fulfill my life before my end

مِن كُلِّ بِرٍّ عاجِلٍ وَمَعونَةٍ

مِن كُلِّ بِرٍّ عاجِلٍ وَمَعونَةٍ

وَسَدادَ عَوزٍ وَاِكتِسابٍ مَليحِ

وَسَدادَ عَوزٍ وَاِكتِسابٍ مَليحِ

Including every timely act of kindness and assistance,

Of every present good, and relief

And relief of want, and handsome earnings.

And mending poverty, and gain most sweet

يا مالِكَ المَلَكوتِ وَالجَبروتِ وَال

يا مالِكَ المَلَكوتِ وَالجَبروتِ وَال

مَغنى الغِنى وَواجِبُ التَسبيحِ

مَغنى الغِنى وَواجِبُ التَسبيحِ

O Master of dominion and almighty power, and the

O King of the heavens, of might and power

Enricher, the Self-Sufficient, and worthy of glorification.

Wealth's independence, and praise as is meet
