جزاكmay He reward you إلهُGod of العرشthe Throne خيرthe best of جزائهHis recompense
جزاك إلهُ العرش خير جزائه
فقدfor indeed قلتَyou have said معروفاًsomething good وأوصيتand you counseled كافياsufficiently
فقد قلتَ معروفاً وأوصيت كافيا
May the God of the Throne grant you His finest reward.
May God, Lord of the Throne, reward you greatly
For you have spoken well and given sufficient counsel.
For you have done a good deed and given sufficient advice
أشرتyou advised بأمرon a course of action لوif أشرتyou advised بغيرهon something other than it
أشرت بأمر لو أشرت بغيره
لألفيتنيyou would have found me فيهin it لرأيكto your counsel عاصياdisobedient
لألفيتني فيه لرأيك عاصيا
You advised a course; had you advised another,
Had you directed towards something else
you would have found me defying your counsel in it.
You would have found me disobeying your opinion
ستلقىyou will find أخاًa brother يصفيكis sincere toward you بالودin affection حازماًresolute
ستلقى أخاً يصفيك بالود حازماً
ويوليكand grants you حفظpreservation of العهدthe pledge إنif كانhe is نائباserving as a deputy
ويوليك حفظ العهد إن كان نائبا
You will find a resolute brother who offers you sincere affection,
You will find a brother who holds you dear and is steadfast
and honors his pledge to you if serving as a deputy.
And entrusts you to keep your word if he is absent
وأيسرand the easiest ماwhat عنديI have المواساةsharing and support مسمحاًgiving freely
وأيسر ما عندي المواساة مسمحاً
إذاif لمnot تجدyou find يوماًone day صديقاًa friend مواسياoffering support
إذا لم تجد يوماً صديقاً مواسيا
And the easiest thing I can offer is aid, freely given,
And most easily I can comfort and appease
if one day you find no friend to support you.
If you do not find, one day, a comforting friend
