  1. بالله قد نبهته فوجدته

    رخو اليدين مواكلا عسقالا

    By God, I did wake him, and found him

    limp-handed, relying on others, feeble.

  2. فعلوته بالسيف أضرب رأسه

    حتى أضل بسلحه السربالا

    Then I assailed him with the sword, striking his head,

    until he buried his tunic in his own dung.
