وَعاوٍ عَوى واللَّيلُ مُستَحلسُ النَّدى
وَقَدand already ضَجَعَتhad reclined للغورِtoward setting تاليةُthe follower of النَّجمِthe Pleiades
وَقَد ضَجَعَت للغورِ تاليةُ النَّجمِ
And many a howler howled, while night lay blanketed in dew;
And a howler howled, while night was cloaked in dew,
and the star’s follower had already reclined toward al-Ghawr, the lowland region.
And the Pleiades’ follower had already reclined toward its setting.
