  1. فتىً منه أرضعتِ المكرُمات

    ربيبَ نهىً طاهرَ المولد

    A youth from whom noble deeds drew their milk,

    A fosterling of wisdom, pure of birth,

  2. ترعرعَ والجودَ في باحةٍ

    بها قد ترشَّح للسؤددِ

    He grew up alongside generosity in a courtyard

    Where he had been readied for eminence.
