منيَّfrom me القصدُthe seeking وتحقيقُand the fulfillment الرجاءِof hope
منيَّ القصدُ وتحقيقُ الرجاءِ
منfrom سليليthe two scions of آلthe family of طاهاTaha الأصفياءِthe pure ones
من سليلي آل طاها الأصفياءِ
The seeking is mine, and the fulfillment of hope
My purpose is noble, my aspiration pure
comes from the two scions of Taha's pure family.
From progeny of virtuous family Taaha
لاnot أرىI see يُجبهُis met بالردِّwith rejection امرؤٌa man
لا أرى يُجبهُ بالردِّ امرؤٌ
قارِعاًknocking at للهِto God باباًa door للدعاءِfor supplication
قارِعاً للهِ باباً للدعاءِ
I see no man met with rejection
None can compare, matching plea for plea
when knocking at a door to God in supplication.
Knocking on God's door, begging boon and favor
فرجائيso my hope كيفhow يغدوbecomes خائباًunfulfilled
فرجائي كيف يغدو خائباً
عندat بابينِtwo doors لجبَّارِto the Almighty السماءِof heaven
عند بابينِ لجبَّارِ السماءِ
So how can my hope go unfulfilled
How can hope be vain at the gates divine
at two doors to the Almighty of heaven?
Of Mighty Lord, Master of heaven and sky?
