وَسِعَ الفَضلَ كُلَّهُ صَدرُكَ الرَح

وَسِعَ الفَضلَ كُلَّهُ صَدرُكَ الرَح

بُ فَمَن شاءَ فَليُهَنِّئ وِسامَه

بُ فَمَن شاءَ فَليُهَنِّئ وِسامَه

Your spacious breast encompassed all excellence;

Your compassionate heart encompasses all merit,

so let whoever wishes congratulate his medal.

So let whoever wishes congratulate your decoration.

لَم يَزِدكَ الوِسامُ قَدراً وَلَكِن

لَم يَزِدكَ الوِسامُ قَدراً وَلَكِن

زادَ قَدرَ العُلا وَقَدرَ الكَرامَه

زادَ قَدرَ العُلا وَقَدرَ الكَرامَه

The medal did not increase your worth, but

The decoration did not increase your worth, but

increased the worth of eminence and the worth of dignity.

Increased the worth of elevation and prestige.

كَم وِسامٍ كَم حِليَةٍ كَم شِعارٍ

كَم وِسامٍ كَم حِليَةٍ كَم شِعارٍ

فيكَ كَم شارَةٍ وَكَم مِن عَلامَه

فيكَ كَم شارَةٍ وَكَم مِن عَلامَه

How many a medal, how many an ornament, how many an emblem

So many decorations, so much finery, so many insignias

are in you—how many a badge, and how many a mark

Are in you, so many signs and marks.

لِإِباءٍ وَحِكمَةٍ وَإِخاءٍ

لِإِباءٍ وَحِكمَةٍ وَإِخاءٍ

وَصَفاءٍ وَهِمَّةٍ وَشَهامَه

وَصَفاءٍ وَهِمَّةٍ وَشَهامَه

of proud self-respect, wisdom, and brotherhood,

Of dignity, wisdom, brotherhood,

and purity, resolve, and gallantry.

Purity, determination, and valor.
