لا تَذكُروا الأَخلاقَ بَعدَ حِيادِكُم

لا تَذكُروا الأَخلاقَ بَعدَ حِيادِكُم

فَمُصابُكُم وَمُصابُنا سِيّانِ

فَمُصابُكُم وَمُصابُنا سِيّانِ

Do not speak of morals after you have strayed;

Do not recall morals after your neutrality,

For your affliction and ours are the same.

For your affliction and ours are equal,

حارَبتُمُ أَخلاقَكُم لِتُحارِبوا

حارَبتُمُ أَخلاقَكُم لِتُحارِبوا

أَخلاقَنا فَتَأَلَّمَ الشَعبانِ

أَخلاقَنا فَتَأَلَّمَ الشَعبانِ

You fought your own morals in order to fight

You battled your morals so you could battle ours,

Our morals, and so both peoples suffered.

And so both nations suffered in pain.
