ياO ساهِدَsleepless watcher of النَجمِthe stars هَلis there لِلصُبحِof dawn مِنany خَبَرِnews
إِنّيindeed I أَراكَsee you عَلىin شَيءٍa measure مِنَof الضَجَرِrestlessness
O sleepless watcher of the stars, is there any news of dawn?
Indeed, I see you are somewhat restless.
أَظُنُّI think لَيلَكَyour night مُذsince طالَhas grown long المُقامُthe stay بِهِfor it
كَالقَومِlike the people فيin مِصرَEgypt لاnot يَنويit intends عَلىon سَفَرِa journey
I think your night, since its stay has grown long,
Is like the people in Egypt: it has no intention of departing.
