ياO مَنYou who خَلَقتَYou created الدَمعَtears لُطـas a kindness (first fragment)
يا مَن خَلَقتَ الدَمعَ لُطـ
ـفاًas a kindness (final fragment) مِنكَfrom You بِالباكيtoward the weeper الحَزينsorrowful
ـفاً مِنكَ بِالباكي الحَزين
O You who created tears as a kindness
From You toward the sorrowful weeper,
بارِكBless لِعَبدِكَfor Your servant فيin الدُموthe tears (first fragment)
بارِك لِعَبدِكَ في الدُمو
عِthe tears (final fragment) فَإِنَّهاfor indeed they نِعمَexcellent is المُعينthe helper
عِ فَإِنَّها نِعمَ المُعين
Bless Your servant’s tears,
For they are indeed an excellent helper.
