وَديعَةٌ رُدَّت إِلى رَبِّها

وَمالِكُ الأَرواحِ أَولى بِها

A trust has been returned to her Lord,

A gift returned to her Lord

And the Master of souls has the greater claim to her.

And the Owner of souls is more deserving of her

أَلَم يَكُن صَبرُكَ في بُعدِها

أَلَم يَكُن صَبرُكَ في بُعدِها

يَربو عَلى شُكرِكَ في قُربِها

يَربو عَلى شُكرِكَ في قُربِها

Did not your patience in her absence

Was not your patience in her absence

Exceed your gratitude in her presence?
