إِن تَقتلوني في الحَديدِ فإِنَّني

إِن تَقتلوني في الحَديدِ فإِنَّني

قَتَلتُ أَخاكُم مُطلَقاً لَم يُقَيَّدِ

قَتَلتُ أَخاكُم مُطلَقاً لَم يُقَيَّدِ

If you kill me in irons, then indeed I

Though you slay me chained in iron,

If you slay me while I am bound in chains,

killed your brother while he was unbound, not shackled.

I have freely slain your brother unchained

I slew your brother when he was free and unfettered.
