لما قبلت البشارهْ وارتضيتِ بها

لما قبلت البشارهْ وارتضيتِ بها

وصرتِ حبلى ببكر اللَه يا بكرُ

وصرتِ حبلى ببكر اللَه يا بكرُ

When you accepted the Annunciation and were pleased with it,

When you received the good tidings and accepted them,

And became pregnant with God's firstborn, O virgin,

And became pregnant with the first of God, O virtuous one,

أرضيت مولاك عن حوّا وآدمِها

أرضيت مولاك عن حوّا وآدمِها

لك السلامةُ يا عذراءُ والشكرُ

لك السلامةُ يا عذراءُ والشكرُ

You pleased your Lord on behalf of Eve and her Adam.

You pleased your Master about Eve and her descendant Adam,

Well-being be yours, O Virgin, and thanks.

Peace and gratitude be upon you, O chaste and grateful one.
