يوم انتقال البتول لا شبيهَ له

في الشان والمجد والسلطان والحِرْزِ

في الشان والمجد والسلطان والحِرْزِ

The day of the Virgin’s Assumption has no equal

The day the Virgin was taken up is unmatched

In eminence, glory, sovereignty, and protection.

In glory, honor, sovereignty, and protection

حيث استقرت بعرشٍ يستقر به ال

حيث استقرت بعرشٍ يستقر به ال

ثالوث حقّاً بلا منعٍ ولا حَجزِ

ثالوث حقّاً بلا منعٍ ولا حَجزِ

Where she settled upon a throne on which dwells the

Where she settled on a throne on which resides

Trinity, truly, without hindrance or restraint.

Truly the Trinity, unhindered and unconfined

وأحدَقَت حدقُ الأحداق محدقةً

وأحدَقَت حدقُ الأحداق محدقةً

بعرشها كونها سلطانة العز

بعرشها كونها سلطانة العز

And the eyes’ pupils gathered, gazing,

And she stared, the stare of stares, staring

Around her throne, for she is the queen of glory.

At her throne, as she is the sovereign of might

تشاهد اللَه منه دون واسطةٍ

تشاهد اللَه منه دون واسطةٍ

ولا سَجَنْجَلِ مرموزٍ ولا لغز

ولا سَجَنْجَلِ مرموزٍ ولا لغز

She beholds God from it without an intermediary,

She sees God from it without intermediary

Nor a symbolic mirror, nor an enigma.

Or veil, symbol, or riddle
