عجيبٌ أنك العذراء حبلى

عجيبٌ أنك العذراء حبلى

برب قد تعالى في العجائب

برب قد تعالى في العجائب

It is wondrous that you, the Virgin, are with child,

How strange that you, a virgin, became pregnant

With a Lord exalted in wonders.

With a Lord exalted in wonders

ولدتيه وربيتيه طفلاً

ولدتيه وربيتيه طفلاً

فيرضع ثديك والثدي كاعب

فيرضع ثديك والثدي كاعب

You bore him and raised him as a child,

You gave birth to Him and raised Him as a child

So he suckles your breast, and the breast is budding.

He suckles at your breast though a suckling babe

رددت كلما سلبته حوّاً

رددت كلما سلبته حوّاً

بمولودٍ شريفٍ في المناقب

بمولودٍ شريفٍ في المناقب

You restored all that Eve had taken away,

Whenever He took milk, you gave it gladly

Through a newborn noble in virtues.

With a noble newborn of high moral traits

فتحت رتاج دار الخلد حقّاً

فتحت رتاج دار الخلد حقّاً

ليدخله أثيمٌ جاء تائب

ليدخله أثيمٌ جاء تائب

You truly opened the gate of the abode of eternity,

You truly opened the gate of eternal life

So that a sinner who came repentant might enter it.

So that even a sinner repenting may enter

فإنك باب مولانا تعالى

فإنك باب مولانا تعالى

وإنك خدره وضياه ثاقب

وإنك خدره وضياه ثاقب

For you are the gate of our Lord, exalted is he,

For you are the gate of our Exalted Lord

And you are his chamber, and his light is piercing.

You are His wall and His shining lamp

ألا سروا بمريم مذ حبتكم

ألا سروا بمريم مذ حبتكم

حياةً ما لمشرقها مغارب

حياةً ما لمشرقها مغارب

Come, rejoice in Mary, since she has bestowed upon you

Rejoice in Mary since she loved you all

A life whose sunrise has no sunsets.

A life whose dawn has no sunset
