إذا كان رب العز أعلاكِ موضعاً

إذا كان رب العز أعلاكِ موضعاً

وقد حل فيكِ الحقُّ يا بِكرُ وارتضى

وقد حل فيكِ الحقُّ يا بِكرُ وارتضى

If the Lord of glory has raised you in station,

If the Lord of Might has raised you high

and Truth has indeed dwelt within you, O Virgin, and been pleased,

And Truth itself dwells within you, Maiden blest, chosen and pleased

وألبسكِ الإكليلَ فوق ملائكٍ

وألبسكِ الإكليلَ فوق ملائكٍ

فأيُّ مديحٍ عاد يكفيكِ بالرضا

فأيُّ مديحٍ عاد يكفيكِ بالرضا

and adorned you with the crown above the angels,

If He has crowned you over the angels

then what praise can now suffice to please you?

What praise can suffice, when His favor's your crown?
